Kyle Alison Cubbon
In her 30 years in the practice, Kyle has represented clients in Ohio, Michigan and Federal courts. She has earned membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and is a member of the Toledo, Lucas County, Michigan and Ohio Bar Associations.
Also, Kyle is a member of the Ohio Association for Justice, the Ohio Womens' Bar Association, and The Toledo Women's Bar Association which holds a special place for Kyle as she served as its president for the 1989-1990 term and was the 2013 recipient of the Ara Bella Babb Mansfield Award given to an individual lawyer who has made a significant contribution to the legal profession, assisted other women lawyers in achieving success, or improved the status of women through hard work, devotion and example..
Kyle is a Mentor for the Ohio Supreme Court's Mentoring program, regularly speaks to new lawyers, and has served over ten years on the Toledo Bar Association Grievance Committee. One of Kyle's favorite quotes is "Law is the safest helmet" by Sir Edward Coke; she believes our system of justice, while not always perfect, is better than any other.
Kyle is involved in various activities. She loves to cook, garden and read fiction. She is a supporter of local sports and, in particular, youth soccer, having served, for many years, as a team manager and Board member for The Pacesetter Soccer Club. Kyle is a member of many local and national organizations and is committed to giving back to her community. In 2010, Kyle was elected to the Board of Toledo Choose Local (www.toledochooselocal.org) , a coalition of local people, businesses and non-profits working together to strengthen the viability and competitiveness of independent businesses in the greater Toledo area. Since 2012, has served as the president of Toledo Choose Local. Kyle also served as a member of the Future of Toledo Initiative whose aim was to utilize the latest in collaborative processes to accelerate the transformation of our city and region. A huge supporter of "all things Toledo", Kyle promotes our city as often as she can.
For nearly 30 years, Kyle has been very happily married to Spiros P. Cocoves, a criminal defense attorney. Kyle and Spiros love and enjoy their children, Tasso Cocoves and Athena Cocoves.
Kyle is the daughter of the firm's founder, Frank W. Cubbon, Jr., and sister of partner, Stuart F. Cubbon.
