Top-ranked Ohio nursing homes devote themselves to good care
While there are a few bad apples in Ohio's nursing homes, the good news is that 130 of Ohio's nursing homes have been rated as the best in the state. These nursing homes provide some of the best care for patients, which is something every family wants for their loved ones.
According to the Nov. 2 news report, the rankings compared over 15,000 nursing home and named 2,300 nursing homes across the United States as the top providers for 2017 through 2018. Data used to determine the best nursing homes looked at a program run by Medicare & Medicaid Services called "Nursing Home Compare." Nursing homes received ratings between 1 and 5, with 5 being the top score.
In Ohio, there are 130 nursing homes that ranked 4.5 or greater. To rank this well, the facilities had to provide significantly more than the required treatments of patients for rehabilitation therapies.
Some of the top-ranked facilities include Fairview Skilled Nursing in Toledo, Altercare of Bucyrus in Bucyrus, Ohio Living Swan Creek in Toledo, Toledo Hospital TCU, Ursuline Center in Toledo, Sunset House in Toledo and Tiffin Rehabilitation Center in Tiffin.
When you take your loved one to a nursing home, you want to know that the facility will treat your loved one like family. These are just a few of the good nursing facilities in Ohio. Regardless of where you are, it's possible to end up with a situation where your family member has been mistreated. If that happens, you have every right to seek out your legal options and to fight for justice.
